A group of people once commended a certain man in the presence of the Prophet Muhammad, praising him excessively. Thereupon the Prophet said, “What king of intellect does he have?” But they replied, saying, “We tell thee about his diligence in prayer and about the various good works he does, and you ask us about his intellect?” The Prophet answered and said, “The fool does more harm through his ignorance than do the wicked through their wickedness.”
